Day 4
Today's Our Abstract Painting Date!
Hello Creative Heart!
Welcome to Day Four of The Art of Creative Living: 7 Day Introductory Course.
Today, we’re going to have so much fun together, because… it’s our Abstract Painting Date! We will be exploring in more depth the second phase of my approach: Creative Practices.
In this video I show you step-by-step how to paint a beautiful abstract painting. You’ll be squeezing out paint onto your palette and having a ball playing with your new art materials in next no time.
I can’t wait to paint with you!
Press play to watch the video.
We cover two important concepts in our painting date that may change the way you think about painting forever. I know for my husband Andrew it was a revelation discovering how these two techniques work to create depth in a painting.
The lovely thing about this painting process is it’s so simple, if you haven’t painted anything for years (even since primary school) you’ll be able to enjoy success.
I gently guide you through each part of the process and we’ve included a Playsheet PDF for you to download so you can refer back to it for extra support and guidance. You can’t go wrong 🙂
I suggest you make yourself a cuppa and settle in for some fun.
And if you’d like to revisit the first video about Gathering Your Art Materials, you can find video #1 here.
Now, I truly hope you thoroughly enjoy our Abstract Painting Date. You may be very surprised by what you can paint. I encourage you to allow it to be a springboard to playfully explore different mark-making processes with your new art materials.
