A Cuppa & Chat with Katherine Mackenzie-Smith

A few weeks back I had the absolute pleasure to talking with the very lovely Katherine Mackenzie-Smith for her podcast “The League of Extraordinary Introverts”.

I always love doing podcast interviews, and this one was particularly satisfying. I felt like I was talking with an old friend (even though we’d never met before) and we were on the same page about so many things to do with creativity.

We talked about how taking on new creative outlets allows us to expand our idea of what we’re capable of, what painting and mandala drawing can teach us about resilience, and about the challenges and joys of any new unfolding project; be it in our work, home or creative life.

In this episode, we also chat about:

  • How anyone can be creative in their own way;

  • Sharing your early creations with people who are supportive;

  • How to get back in touch with your creativity;

  • Finding support with people who can teach or mentor you to set you up for success;

  • The benefit of nourishing your creativity in your business;

  • Using art to become present and calm an active mind;

  • Thinking of art and creativity for fun and trying it out to expand your comfort zone.

So pour yourself a cuppa, and tune into our intimate chat via Katherine’s website or on iTunes.

If you enjoyed the episode, please feel free to share it with your friends.

Have a beautiful day!

With love,

Nicola xx

PS. Yesterday’s Intuitive Painting Workshop was such a fantastic day!!! I’ll definitely be running more of those before the end of the year, so keep your eyes peeled for when I announce dates, as I have a feeling places will fill up fast.

I’d LOVE to paint with you!
