Grow Abundant Herbs & Greens in Pots
Grow Abundant Herbs & Greens Amazon #1 in Container Gardening
I was delighted to find my book Grow Abundant Herbs & Greens in Pots debuted on Amazon as the #1 new release in container gardening this week. It’s been so much fun to see it selling through various Amazon stores around the world (UK, USA, Germany, Canada & Australia) and best of all, hear from readers they are feeling inspired to set up their own potted herb gardens to delight their hearts AND their taste buds. If you missed last week’s post about the creative blocks I had to dissolve to self-publish on Amazon, you may enjoy reading it here.
There really is nothing like preparing meals with fresh herbs. They make everything taste so much brighter. (I’m not sure if meals can taste brighter, but you know what I mean).
We’ve been enjoying coriander, sweet basil and parsley in our salads this week, and Andrew prepared a beautiful dish with snapper topped with a medley of lemongrass, garlic, butter and coriander. It tasted like we were in Thailand.
I’ve been busy compiling a new book comprised of my blog posts called “Your Year to Flourish ~ 52 Lessons from My Garden”. It’s taking shape and will be out as soon as I finish editing the final chapters.
The Abundant Veggie Patch System
Plus, I’ve begun rebranding my course “The Abundant Veggie Patch System” which was the first ecourse I ever made and very popular. I’ve decided to relaunch it, which felt strange at first, since I am living on a boat now and far away from a garden, but it actually feels like life has settled down enough for me to focus on it, after the whirlwind of the past few years (meeting Andrew and getting married, then building a studio, before moving to Tamworth, and finally selling everything and moving onboard a boat!)
It’s a wonderful course, and I’ll be revitalising the Facebook group with an exciting announcement in the coming weeks.
Life’s Evolving Changes
This morning I got up early and watched the sunrise over the bow of the boat.
There were little swallows perched along the railings, and I felt so delighted by their company. It reminded me of moments when I used to sit in the veggie garden and watch the little wrens play in the long grasses along the fence line. We can sometimes worry we will miss out on things when our soul calls us in a new direction, thinking we will be sacrificing too much, but so often there are other delights that fill their place.
I hope you have had a lovely break over the long weekend and wishing you a gentle, creative week.
