Gently Really Does Do It

Sometimes I’ve noticed, when we push for something, there are other things that need to be taken care of first, that we may not even be aware of yet.

I’ve been going through that a lot this year.

I’m now in the midst of putting together a launch process for a new course called “Flourish with Painting & Creativity”. It’s been a two year project (more, really) and I’m SO happy to finally feel like everything has lined up and is ready to launch.

But before now, every time I said “I’m going to launch next week”, something would pop up. It was crrrazzzy.

Now finally, after sometimes feeling like I wasn’t getting anywhere, the path feels very clear and straight, and interestingly, joyful.

If I could, I’d love to go back to my earlier self and whisper, “It’s ok, it really will come together in the perfect timing. Keep putting one foot after the other, open the mail, answer the phone, take care of what’s in front of you, and it will come together. Don’t stress or worry about not having it ready yet.”

As it turned out, there were situations at play that I wasn’t even aware of. Things I needed to deal with before it was time to move forward.

Have you ever noticed that? That if you’re gentle with yourself, things flow a whole lot more easily. And when we trust we’re being taken care of, life is a lot more joyful?

On another note, last weekend Andrew and I went to a conference called Women Leading Change and boy, it was so inspiring. If you are in Sydney on Saturday, I’d highly recommend going along. You can see all the speakers and details here.

One of the things I took away was just how incredible it is when we show up authentically as who we are.

The speakers were SO different from one another, but yet each was loveable, wise and had a message that was so valuable to share. I was reminded how when we speak from our heart and share our stories, miracles really do happen. We touch hearts. We know we’re not alone. We see ourselves mirrored in others.

So, this week, lovely, I would love to encourage you to embrace yourself, just exactly as you are, know that you are exactly where you need to be, and no one, NO ONE is at the end of this journey and has ‘made it’ (there is no end, we’re all just flowing through the river this is life). Everyone’s dealing with stuff, growing and changing.

And when we do the inner work of loving and accepting ourselves, it overflows into all our relationships, work, hobbies and life.

So give yourself a warm hug. You deserve it.

With love,

Nicola xx
