9 Gift Ideas for Creative Hearts & Art Lovers

My childhood friend LOVES finding gifts throughout the year and she seems to have other people at the forefront of her mind no matter where she is,

“Hmmm, wouldn’t so-and-so just love this? I think I’ll pick one up for her in pink.”

or,

“Oh look! A thingamybob! So-and-so adores those! I’ll buy two and surprise her for Christmas.”

Unfortunately, that’s not me.

I’m more of the, “Ohmygoodness,isitreallyalreadyoneweekbeforeChristmas?WhatamIgoingtogiveeveryone?!”

And as a creative, I know it can be tricky when it comes to gifts for art lovers, organic gardeners and creative hearts.

So, here’s a short list of gift ideas to inspire those you love to Flourish in their organic gardening adventures and creative life.

I hope it helps!

1. Canvases. Good sizes to give as gifts include 60 x 90cm and 30 x 30cm. We love to give the children in our lives small canvases to paint on – their faces always light up with the possibilities (adults too, need a medium to express themselves on.)

2. Brushes. I love the Taklon brushes made by Mont Marte and use them for both acrylic and oil painting.

3. Acrylic paints. Golden are a beautiful professional brand of high density acrylic paints, or a set of Chromacryl would be perfect for beginners too.

4. Oil paints. I love Art Spectrum oil paints and Mont Marte are excellent for beginners. Colour is SO inspiring for creative hearts and even just a couple of tubes will go a long way!

5. Inspire your loved ones to grow their own organic, delicious herbs with the Grow Abundant Herbs & Greens in Pots ebook. Growing herbs in pots is easy, fun and oh so rewarding. (Not to mention healthy!)

6. Leonie Dawson’s beautiful, colourful and fun-filled Create Your Shining Year planners are an excellent way to jump start the new year with clear dreams and intentions.

7. I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera to keep in my handbag for travelling and everyday photos. I wanted to zoom in closer than I can on my iPhone with a camera that’s light enough to keep in my handbag. If you want to inspire your loved one to take more photos, this is a great little compact camera with manual functions included. I love it!

8. And… if in doubt, a gift certificate to Art Shed Online for Australians, or if you’re in the USA DickBlick.com is an awesome gift that’s sure to inspire.

9. A great book is usually a safe bet too. My favourite books and more gardening gift ideas are listed here on the things I love page.

Now, I’m off to stock up on art supplies and wrap gift packages for our loved ones (and try to get it done before the last week before Christmas! 😉 ).

I really do believe when we nurture our creative hearts and plunge our fingers into the soil, it nourishes our soul in deeply rewarding ways.

I hope this little list of ideas helps you enjoy this festive season and inspires your loved ones to express their creativity. And remember to treat yourself with something fun to nurture your creativity too 🙂

Have a beautiful, gentle and creative day!

With love,

Nicola xx
